According to the transmittance of visible light, the sunglasses can be divided into 1-4 categories from shallow to deep.
Class I: light colored Sunglasses (without polarizing function), with 43% ~ 80% of projection, the lightest color, and the least shading and reducing excessive luminous flux. They are generally used for fashion matching glasses, such as model shows, fashion shows, etc.
Class II: light colored sunshade mirror (without polarizing function), with transmission ratio of 18% ~ 43%, slightly light color, used in cloudy days or cloudy days.
Three categories: sunshade (polarized sunglasses), projection accounted for 8% ~ 18%, most Sunglasses belong to this level, more suitable for seaside, mountaineering and other outdoor activities.
Four categories: special purpose sunglasses, transmission ratio of 3% ~ 8%, in skiing, desert, welding and other special environment is more used.
Note: according to the requirements, the transmittance of driving glasses should be greater than 8%, so the fourth type sunglasses are not suitable for driving.
Polarizing function: the so-called polarizing sunglasses selectively filter the light from a certain direction. By filtering out many polarized light reflected, the intensity of light in the sky is reduced.
